This year marks the 21st annual BHMI Favorite Seasonal Treat Contest. Each year we invite everyone in our corporate family to whip up a batch of a favorite holiday treat to compete for the chance to have his/her treat represent the company during the holiday season. We had a close competition, but after all the votes were counted, the “BHMI Best” seal of approval was bestowed upon Jim Merchant for his Popeye’s Holiday Cookies. Yes, you guessed it, these treats contain spinach! It’s a bit of a healthy spin on a white chocolate chip cookie with all natural holiday colors coming from pomegranate seeds and spinach. They are delicious and nutritious! 
 
Jim has been with BHMI for 34 years as a Senior Program Director, PMP. He works mainly as a Concourse project manager, but also leads the BHMI college internship program. Jim moved to the United States from Canada when he was just seven years old. He joined the US Air Force after high school and trained as a pararescueman. Jim later retrained in computer programming and was stationed in Nebraska, and the rest is history! He has two grown children, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Jim and his wife, Cris, enjoy traveling to sparsely populated locations where their two Aussies can run and explore. Jim also enjoys photography and taking photos of nature and the landmarks they visit.
