Because of the scope of the Concourse product family and the diverse environments supported by Concourse clients, all Concourse installations are implemented by senior BHMI staff. A senior project manager is dedicated to each implementation project, complemented by a tech leader responsible for determining the optimal fit between Concourse and a client’s unique environment. Specialists are assigned as needed to each implementation effort to ensure that implementation requirements are addressed, ranging from project engineering, hardware sizing, software configuration, workflows, testing, and installation. During these efforts, Concourse product architects and developers are available for consultation and fine tuning of Concourse features to address customer requirements.
Concourse Implementation
You can have peace of mind knowing BHMI has been implementing primary business applications around the globe for more than 30 years.
Implementation Project Guides
Concourse client implementations typically begin with a Project Initiation Workshop (PIW) in which client technical and business staff participate in a multi‑day review of client requirements and Concourse features. PIWs serve as a true learning experience for both BHMI and client personnel – BHMI learns about clients’ business and technical requirements, and clients learn about the power and flexibility of Concourse. Requirements frequently change during the course of a PIW as clients realize that Concourse has a far wider range of capabilities than anticipated, and an expanded set of client requirements can be addressed by Concourse.
The results of a PIW are memorialized in a Product Solution Document (PSD) that serves as an overall guide for subsequent project activities. A PSD is not necessarily a detailed project plan, but it does serve as an implementation “blueprint” that reflects the common understandings of both BHMI and the client to minimize misunderstandings of implementation project functions, features, and responsibilities.
Not Our First Rodeo
BHMI has been designing and implementing industrial strength primary applications around the globe for over 30 years – we know what we’re doing. So after a PSD has been accepted by both a client and BHMI, the remainder of a Concourse implementation project involves project activities of scheduling, engineering, development, testing, configuration, installation, and production oversight. We make sure that when the dust settles, our customers have successful, fully implemented Concourse installations.
